How did the idea of Mohalla Clinic came into being?
How was the situation before?

AAP has foundations in grassroots anti-corruption movement. With the background of many of its members in social activism it was a bitter reality for many that government healthcare doesn’t reach the narrow lanes of a bustling city. Many are left out because the healthcare facilities are not there and not within reach.

Stemming from the concept of Swaraj or decentralized self-governance and the idea of Mohalla Sabha or neighborhood meetings came the idea of Mohalla Clinics.

Beginning in 2015 after AAP Arvind Kejriwal’s second term in Delhi this transformational intervention has spread across the city. From Zero (0) to more than Three Hundred (300) Mohalla Clinics dot the city proving to be a revolution in health.
